La Clairière collects the minimum data needed to send you its letter. This page explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
Data controller
La Clairière is a personal project run by Clément, who signs as “Le Veilleur”. For any question about your data, write to contact@laclairierejournal.com.
What we collect
One thing only: your email address, when you subscribe to the letter. At the moment you subscribe, the date, time and IP address of your consent are also recorded, so that we can prove you asked to receive the letter. No other personal data is requested or collected.
Why we collect it
Your address is used solely to send you newly published papers and the accompanying note from Le Veilleur. It is used for nothing else.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR), freely given at the time of subscription. You may withdraw it at any time, with no need to give a reason.
Who processes the data for us
Delivery of the letter is handled by Resend (Resend, Inc.), our processor. Resend hosts the data within the European Union (EU region, Ireland) and is bound to us by a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement (DPA). No data is ever sold, rented or shared with a third party for commercial purposes.
Retention
Your address is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. As soon as you unsubscribe, it is deleted or anonymised without undue delay.
Unsubscribing
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Nothing more is required beyond that click, and you will not be asked any questions.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@laclairierejournal.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner; in the European Union, the authority of your country of residence).
Cookies
The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies. The subscription form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot mechanism that may place a technical token for the time needed to verify that you are not an automated program. This token serves only that check and cannot be used to track you.
